Okay so I know I shouldn't complain about church, but I have a little gripe.
The Mother's Room...
I always thought that this was a room where nursing mothers could take their children to feed them. Well apparently not in my ward. This is a room where you bring your rowdy children to play and run around, prepare your Sunday School lesson, or maybe even take a quick nap (yes, I've found people sleeping in there - hello, go home if you're really that tired.) Now normally I really wouldn't care what people do, you know to each there own, but Bri gets very distracted when she eats. So as kids are bouncing off the chairs or people are talking, all she wants to do is look around and check stuff out instead of eat. Not to mention that usually I'm not really all that bashful when it comes to breast feeding (I cover up as much as possible to be discreet), but I really don't enjoy trying to feed kid while some one's 4-8 year old is wanting to see the baby. I don't know, it just gets on my nerves some days.
So anyways a plea from one breast feeding mom...
The Mother's Room = The Mother's Room - please try to use it for what's it's made for. :)

I couldn't agree more. I haven't really noticed how it is in our ward since I have only been a few times to church since Jakob was born. I can see how frustrating it would be though. I went in last week to feed Jakob and I realized that I was wearing a full dress...could I be any dumber (don't really answer that) and there was already one other person in there feeding her baby. So I just had pull out his bottle and use that....I mean I would have to bottle feed him anyway just because I have to supplement but I felt awkward just thinking about feeding him with another person there.
Maybe they should announce it in RS or something...just as a little reminder. But then again I wouldn't want to be the one to say something...LOL
Good Luck I hope it gets better!
Are you kidding me? Sleeping? GO HOME FOR THE LOVE! I wish you the best of luck. Maybe take a pillow and you could get them to move out of the room and into the hall to sleep.
